Up until now

As I landed in a country unknown to me, I began to wonder, will it treat me right? Almost a year has gone by. Time surely does fly fast. Sometimes it’s hard, but sometimes hardness is overshadowed by kindness. I look back and feel wonder – wow, back then, it was something only imaginable. I’m living my dream, but does that mean I should not acknowledge the emotions of being alone in a foreign country? Should I let my gratitude overshadow those emotions?
